This is a great USB thumb adapter for microSD cards. I've had great luck with uni Accessories' HDMI--to--USB-C converter, and this is another quality and easy to use product from them.
I bought this primarily for writing Raspian images onto a microSD. My computer runs vanilla Debian Linux ("bullseye"/testing) on a Lenovo ThinkServer TS140.
The adapter works flawlessly and required zero configuration steps. I just plugged the microSD card into the end, then plugged the USB stick into my computer. My computer recognized the microSD, which has two partitions once set up as the primary storage for Raspberry Pi 3, and was able to mount the two partitions no problem.

This product only supports the UHS-I standard, which transfer speed is 104MB/s, while the max data transfer speed of the UHS-II card is 312MB/s. so as to say this item can be compatible with UHS-II Card, however, the maximum data transfer speed is only 104MB/s.
