Lots of details in other reviews so let's just head straight to the Pros and Cons.
Pros:
+ Build quality is excellent, metal shell, braided cable, good strain relief - it's very well made.
+ Subtle branding, no tacky advertising. The Uni brand is on the top of the adapter but in the same color as the finish so it barely shows. That's tasteful and works well at home or in a professional office.
+ Plug it in and it just works! I've tried numerous USB-C to HDMI adapters but this is the FIRST one that just works right. Previous ones didn't work at all, or video worked but not audio, or only supported a lower resolution than my monitor, etc. This one just works, full resolution and full audio with no lag. Happy day!
+ The braided cable is very flexible.
+ USB C connector fits tightly in the USB C port, no falling out or wabbling.
+ HDMI connector fits tightly in the monitor's HDMI port, no falling our or wabbling
+ Comes with a troubleshooting card, but I didn't need it.
+ Comes with a cloth bag to keep the adapter looking nice after it travels around in your laptop bag for awhile.
Cons:
- Not many to speak of actually.
- I cannot turn on my TV with this adaptor, not sure if it's my phone, this adapter or my TV. With a Chromecast on the same tv, launching a cast will turn the TV on. That doesn't seem to work with this adapter, not sure why. Very minor thing to bring up, just an FYI.
- The adapter gets a little warm during extended use, but not hot.
- Short cable
Summary: Get it, it works, it's well made and durable.
