Cheaper than the 60Hz version, the picture quality is indistinguishable from any other HDMI driven screen and the fact it has the HDMI cable built in makes this a no brainer purchase. Stream protected content from Netflix/ Hulu/ iTunes.

Without having to have a bulky adapter or large, power sucking port replicator in order to get a display out on all my devices, I just have these guys. One in the bag and one at home and it's super easy. no waiting for it to be recognized, no issues with resolution...it just picks it right up and mirrors it. I totally expected for it to have issues when switching between device types - tablet, phone, laptop - or even OS - Mac, Windows, Android --- NOPE! jumped from one to the other with no problem. With dongles becoming more and more necessary as the technology grows, it's actually nice to have something I throw in my bag that will work with whatever device I pull out - regardless of type or operating system.

DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP Alt Mode) allows a USB-C equipped computer to connect directly to a display or monitor, it is pointing to the USB C port. When you use the USB C port to output HDMI or DP signals, DP ALT Mode is the premise.
USB C Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 / Gen 2 will support DP alt mode, you can check the specifications of your devices.
